Saved time and labor but also provided one with a result that is closer to the operating conditions. • Created safe leak check technique to identify and pin point a fuel cell with high cross leaks in a stack. • Devised method to mechanistically understand anode performance loss. • Devised and carried out tests to identify the failure modes caused by dry reactants. • Managed a technical project carried out at GE CR&D to evaluate the kinetics of oxygen reduction on catalysts with different characteristics. • Investigated and identified the root cause for the failure of fuel cells on fuel starvation. Discovered an anode configuration that is tolerant to fuel starvation. MEMBER STACK DEVELOPMENT TEAM, (OCT 1997 – APRIL 1999): • Evaluated the in-house MEA technology and the external MEA technology for using in residential systems for operation under ambient conditions. • Successfully completed the first 1000-hour test at Plug Power.
