I am a Software Engineer, with a particular interest in backend, from the San Francisco Bay Area. I hold a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and an associates degree in Computer Science. I love working in Python due to its simplicity and how powerful it can be, having enjoyed doing projects that utilize Python to build a backend. However in 2015 when my mom was diagnosed with cancer, I became her full time caregiver. During my available time I learned some coding and grew to appreciate and enjoy programming. The combination of loving programming, feeling terrible when I hurt people (which inevitably as a dentist you have to do a bit of), and wanting to stay near my dad made me take the dive towards becoming a software engineer.My interests include music and sports. Unfortunately for both of these, I'm much better at watching others do it than doing it myself. I am always open to talking about all types of music but have soft spots for R&B, soul, neo soul, hip hop, pop, rock, and funk. My favorite sports are hockey, basketball and football but I have been known to watch anything including the random Youtube recommended professional tag. I love my cat, Hope, and if you were to look through my phone you would probably find an embarassing amount of photos of her.
