At Illumina, I am the only tester for Genomic applications hosted on my.illumina.com that helps users design assays for DNA sequencing and Genotyping. At Fox Interactive, I worked on video games that were based off of franchises owned by Fox for PC, Mac, and Playstation. It was a small department in a giant company that operated like a startup. Giving opportunities to work with all the departments as a QA tester.As a QA Lead Tester, aside from general bug finding, the general responsibilities for all projects included;• Managing the QA team of up to 30 testers to get proper coverage on projects • Maintaining the integrity of the database so the developers can use it as efficiently as possible without disrupting their work pipeline.• Designing the database to cater to each title’s characteristics.• Working with the developer’s QA team to avoid assigning test suites that were not ready for QA.
