For Christina, creating Gemutlichkeit (a German word evoking the cozy familiarity of drinking and dining with close friends) is a way of life. Some days that means designing a marketing campaign driving guests' experience and some days it means doling out apfel strudel to thousands of guests during a street party. No matter the task, her goal is to serve as liaison between the business practices that have brought the Hollerbach Family so much success and the innovative ideas that will carry her into the future.Having worked every single position at Hollerbach’s German Restaurant, from dishwasher to head of HR, she understands the individual parts of the restaurant, how they click together, and what it takes to make it all hum. She values education through experience, and is energized by working with motivated, passionate people who get the job done. This extends beyond the doors of her own businesses as she works hand in hand with other local merchants and organizations to encourage commerce and growth in the community. She considers investment into the future of Downtown Sanford vital to the success of her businesses, and lends her skills as a speaker, event planner, and board member to several local non-profit organizations.She has maintained many leadership roles in non-profit organizations in the community. She is the President of Sanford Main Street, President of the Ritz Theater, 3rd Vice President of the Woman’s Club of Sanford, Festival Organizer/Board Member of Love Your Shorts Film Festival, Advisory Board Member for City of Sanford Museum, President of Hollerbach’s Has Heart, and Board Member of the Orlando Gay Chorus. She also holds many memberships and leads committees for the Sanford Historic Trust, Lake Mary Rotary, and Leadership Seminole. She has worked and led many successful projects for these organizations with an emphasis on development and marketing. She focuses heavily on governance and getting board operations in good shape. She also loves to host and plan many special events and festivals such as Love Your Shorts Film Festival, Sanford Jingle Jams, Sanford Art and Jazz Nights, Small Business Saturday Shop Small Event, and the Sanford Wing Mural Project.Somewhere in there, she manages to find time to relax by doing jigsaw puzzles and hanging out with her cats when she needs a break from the social lifestyle of Historic Downtown Sanford.
