I got my start in private duty homes with a 19 year old dialysis patient who was on the list for a kidney transplant, an 8 year old boy who had special needs, hospice, quadriplegics and people with very serious challenges. I felt a strong call to service and decided to pursue my nursing degree. My genesis as a care provider prepared me to become administrator of Harmony Home Care. It gives me a great deal of understanding and empathy for both patients and care providers. I came to realize first hand that dedicated care providers truly do make positive differences in peoples lives because they are present for the daily challenges and victories that these people experience.
