Flying a TV Newschopper everyday reporting at 1,000 feet above the ground was the best job in the world for me. Car chases, forest fires along with the fun stuff made everyday a new adventure. One favorite memory was flying the Arizona Diamonbacks 2001 World Series winning hitter, Luis "Gonzo" Gonzalez and getting him to sign a baseball live on TV for my sons. He had a great sense of humor on TV and mused "Where am I going to go, I'm stuck up here. This is the first ball I've signed in a helicopter."

My shooting assignments varied from news, sports and features to covering the Olympics. A vivid memory was at New York's, Hard Rock Cafe, sitting across the table from Saturday Night Live's comedians, the late Chris Farley and David Spade. Farley has both hands wrapped around a huge burger, elbows on the table, leans towards me and asks, "Bruce, what's the craziest thing about TV news?" my answer, "The car chases and having dinner with you Chris!"
