I love teaching. I also love coding and problem solving.I strive to break down and articulate complex ideas into simple, digestible chunks. I always feel a great sense of accomplishment from being able to achieve this. I am also always curious to learn new technologies and concepts and am always eager to dive in more by getting my hands dirty. It boosts my skills in understanding implementation details, connect interdisciplinary ideas, and think on a larger scale like system design and software architecture.I hold my code quality up to a high standard, strive to build robust software with testing, and am always thinking about how to improve them. As a simple example, when I learned about sine and cosine as a high school junior, I went back and refactored my little tank game in Scratch with that (instead of many lines of if-else statements). It's simply my passion to optimize and make things better. When it comes to code, that's taking time to learn and adapt algorithms and/or design patterns in order to create a performant, scalable, and maintainable program.So far, I've had fun working with languages like Java, Python, C#, C/C++, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, Dart, Kotlin, and PHP, as well as technologies like the MERN stack, React, Android, Unity, Flutter, ROS (for robots), Flask, Postgres, and more. My diverse interests in different areas of computing have allowed me to gain skills that require various paradigms and ways of thinking, and I'm still eager to learn more as I transition into an industry position to help build something that will truly help people and better their lives.
