We are a multidisciplinary and multigenerational team working on several different projects. The common threads between these projects are designing for human connection and social change. The ORBIT Labs are divided into smaller teams working on specific parts of each project. We meet together regularly as a larger group to give each other feedback, help one another, and check in on progress. The faculty lead for the ORBIT Labs is Stamps Associate Professor Kelly M. Murdoch-Kitt. Her research partner, Dr. Denielle Emans, teaches at Roger Williams University.

The mission of Thrive Scholars is to help high-achieving, underrepresented students from economically disadvantaged communities get into and graduate from top colleges equipped to achieve their full career potential. During my time with Thrive, I have: -- Led a small team in designing an ecologically conscious service and presenting our idea to Google employees during a capstone weekend -- Utilized career resources during summer academies to exacerbate my professional development -- Strengthened my experience with case interviews and analysis by joining the internal consulting club

Cass Technical High School

GET-IT stands for Girls Exploring Together - Information Technology. It is an after-school team activity designed to encourage middle and high school girls (grades 4 - 12) to consider and ultimately pursue a career in information technology. The program runs from September through the end of the school year. Students involved in the program explore a growing career field while enhancing their math and science skills, and confidence. GET-IT helps prepare them for college, strengthening teamwork, problem-solving and organization abilities.
