3Rd And 4Th Grade Math Teacher
Current- Teaching 4th grade math for 4 years, grade level chair for 4th grade for 1 year- Teaching 3rd grade math for 1 year- Creating team meeting agendas, attending grade level (GL) meetings campus leadership teams (CLT)- Communicating as a liaison between campus leadership and the grade-level teachers- Ensuring team follow through with new systems and procedures- Organizing and facilitating field trips- Creating and facilitating lessons based on scope and sequence- Using Teach Like a Champion skill set to ensure whole-class cooperation and engagement- Monitor exit tickets to ensure the use of strategies taught in the lesson and focus of students- Provide intervention for students who did not master the content- Monitor students while performing quick-hit math facts to ensure their understanding of the material, providing in-the-moment feedback of their progress- Create Assessments based on standards set by the TEA, focusing on state test-aligned questions- Analyze data from assessments to inform spiraled review and / or reteach approach- Communicate with families regarding their students' progress and goals- Establish a set goal for each individual student and follow up with them on the progress- Manage seating arrangements to create a teamwork-friendly environment, pairing students with others who motivate and push each other academically.- Attend ARD meetings and other special education-based meetings and ensure students are receiving accommodations they are legally required- Track students' progress academically and socially/emotionally to determine their potential need for emotional or academic support and implementing those accommodations to ensure their success- Implementing systems and procedures in class with student success as the driving force- Establishing a strong classroom culture using signs of support and cheering others on- Address social emotional needs in group SEL lessons
