Under my leadership, our Youth Education program reach has doubled, educating 5,000 students in 2019. I have also cultivated a community through our River Talks programs, growing our audience and expanding our reach. In 2020, I organized Nashville's first Youth Climate Summit with the Mayor's Youth Council. I also provide operational leadership for our organization with grant writing, management of the AmeriCorps program, and fundraising. I have helped to raise over $200,000 in diverse funding for our organization. With all of my work, I listen to community needs and address them through innovative and high quality programs. I integrate program evaluation throughout my work to ensure my programs are meeting their intended goals for both environmental and educational outcomes. Key Programs:Waterfest: A free community event involving 20+ educational exhibits, entertainment, and prizes. Attended by 2000+ diverse community members each year. River Talks: Weekly talk series focused on the Cumberland River Region including its history, innovations, spirits, and natural world. Youth Education Programs: Teach water-education in classrooms throughout the Cumberland River Basin. In fall 2017 and spring 2018, I also managed our Green Alleys and rain garden program that worked directly with residents to plant 50+ rain garden in Nashville. This includes one-on-one consultations and presentations to neighborhood groups. -
