About Christy Wong
Hi there! My name is Christy and I am a 4th year student at UBC majoring in Psychology. While I have a range of lab research experiences with HKU and UBC, I am more drawn to engaging directly with communities than focusing on the research aspect of a Psychology major. Embracing this awareness along with my upbringing, these adversities have fuelled my determination to also pursue a Bachelor’s in Social Work, in which I recently got accepted to! I am currently volunteering with a crisis line and a peer volunteer at a children's hospice based in Vancouver. I am currently looking to build my skills in working towards becoming a clinical or medical social worker!
