It serves mid-market companies in North America and Europe.As Research Director I was responsible for internal research for either ongoing deals and deal origination. I was the first-line decision maker for data subscription decisions. Data resources I used and became proficient with at CFA included Capital IQ, Bloomberg, OneSource and Hoovers. I gained experience running and assisting with buy-side and sell-side deals at various stages of the process. Responsibilities included deal origination, preperation of go-to-market materials including NDA, CDR, blind teaser profiles. I was involved with many aspects of the deal process with experience from origination to close.I performed financial modeling and forecasting. This included building a cash flow and income model for a customer to project future cash flows / earnings to assist with a financing.I significantly optimized the deal flow process in the office. This included moving office from excel deal flow tracking to a custom CRM-based platform. Planning, development, implementation and support of custom CRM modules for Zurmo CRM (Open Source). Submitted several contributions back to the Zurmo project. The end result of this was significant reduction in time spent tracking deal progress, launching deals, and increased visibility of current deal progress.
