I'd been working at Marks and Spencer and had access to all the data regarding high street retail. I saw a huge opportunity to offer fresh, high quality, pre packaged fast food - sandwiches, salads, juices and healthy snacks all made in our Carnaby street basement kitchen in the early morning.I was young and made all the mistakes that an inexperienced entrepreneur could possibly make, which after interest rates jumped from 7% to 15% in one year meant that I had to go into voluntary liquidation. A great pity since the idea was spot on!
