I have been active in Disaster recovery since hurricane Michael in 2018. Since then, I have managed multiple disaster recovery programs and managed over $20 million worth of disaster grant funding. We have helped hundreds of families get back into their homes at no cost of them. In 2023 I founded Abide Community Inc. The purpose of this nonprofit was to create a blue sky mission to go along with our Disaster mission so that our staff could remain employed during the good times when there are no disasters. Because of our experience in construction management, it only made sense for us to do our part to help tackle the issue of a lack of affordable housing in our communities. There is a large overlap between Disaster Recovery, and access to affordable housing. We are actively pursuing the development of safe sanitary and functional housing in our communities. I also served as a United Methodist pastor since 2013. I currently serve the Abide UMC congregation.
