Chris has extensive experience of assisting GPs and other providers to bid for NHS contracts. These include APMS, AQP and other similar primary and urgent care contracts. Chris also has extensive experience in project managing new premises for GPs and other healthcare organisations, including third-party developer schemes, and in preparing feasibility and option appraisals, strategic premises plans and business plans. He has been involved in developing the Department of Health's Primary and Social Care Planning and Design Guidance website and specialises in giving management support to GP practices and assisting with the recruitment and appraisal of staff. He is an experienced NHS business consultant with a postgraduate qualification in Health Economics. His career began in the voluntary sector and he was an associate partner at a large GP practice in North Yorkshire, before moving on to form Acton Shapiro Ltd in 1996, which became the Primary Care Partnership in 2011.
