Data Engineering for cloud migration:- Migrated on-premise Linux/Python/MySQL/Tableau on-premise ETL stack to AWS cloud-based Docker/Linux/Python (In containers and Lambda functions)/NoSQL (Snowflake and DynamoDB)/Tableau stack.- Large improvement in processing time (2 week jobs to 3 hour jobs!).- Improved processing accuracy with more comprehensive logging and migration to a proper CI/CD pipeline with unit and integration tests (Azure DevOps).- Lower overall compute and data storage costs with much better cost attribution.At-scale data science:- Put into production an ML classification algorithm by allow a larger set of input data to add predictive functionality to an additional 100 machines.- Upgraded Python API calls for use in our cloud architecture.Data Analysis and Visualization:- Designed and developed a data visualization tool for a multi-million dollar software usage initiative using Python and SQL for data manipulation, Tableau for visualization, and Adobe Illustrator for mock-ups and graphics.- Performed ad-hoc analyses using Python, SQL (mySQL, Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL, Snowflake nosql, AWS DynamoDB), Excel, PowerBI, and Tableau on internet of things data, sales data, software usage data, and cloud logs (AWS and Azure).- Successfully augmented Excel use with Python/Jupyter/Pandas/numpy stack for better version control and better interoperability with all available databases while still being able to produce .xls or .xlsx files on demand.
