Manufacturing Process Engineer
Current• Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with outside process vendors.• Develop and review manufacturing documentation to support production and ensure documentation is complete and complies with standard shop practice, including Routers, Sketches, and CNC programs and tool sheets (in times of need) • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; soliciting observations from operators• Updating manufacturing processes and op sheets based on current information and operator requests regarding efficiency• Provide manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests• Lead efforts to get parts approved through Pratt & Whitney’s UPPAP program, in conjunction with an “F4 Review” on UPPAP parts• Ensure that UPPAP part requirements are applied and adhered to throughout the manufacturing process• Participate in daily quoting meetings to determine manufacturing and economic feasibility of requested product quotes
