I started my working career as an apprentice Pcv engineer for Go Ahead Northern. After serving the 4 year apprenticeship and gaining my City and Guilds, I was one of only a few of the 27 apprentices given full time permanent employment. During my time at Go Ahead, I worked from 3 of the main depots and gained the skills and experience needed to become a well respected member of the team. I left Go Ahead as I wanted to climb the career ladder within my trade but unfortunately the opportunity's where not avaliable at that time. I spent a brief period at Barlow World Handling as engineer but moved back to my trade as PCV engineer for Stage Coach working as charge hand technician. I then moved on to work as workshop supervisor at National Holidays working my way up to chief engineer covering various sites nationwide . Unfortunately this came to an end In 2020 due to the covid pandemic. I currently work as Head of Engineering at Travel Calidonian.
