2012 - 2014: Principal Software Engineer• Led the UK software team in a tri-national programme to develop a generic air defence Command and Control (C2) product line and led the first software deployment in a ground based air defence system• Collaborated internationally and cross-functionally in a model-driven development approach• Deliveries on time & budget in challenging political and technical environment• Managed a team of 5 engineers and budgets of >€500k 2010-2012: Senior Software Engineer• Member of a joint engineering team to define how to maximise reuse of an existing product in a new naval air defence system• Supported or responsible for the specification of interfaces to RADAR / launcher / data link / missile / naval platform and changes to all key C2 subsystems• Led collaboration to define a new interface between the C2 and potential platform combat systems with the aim of reducing system integration costs to boost export potential of weapon system 2008-2010: Graduate Engineer• Software development of training system for naval air defence system (3 months)• Investigation into application of database technologies in C2 systems including prototyping and demonstration to MOD (3 months)• Mechanical and electrical design and construction of key equipment for a novel weapon system trial. Managed subcontractors & £80k budget.
