Working with the Global Customer Operations product team to drive the experience for the customer support platform. Leading design of streamlined access management tools for the customer support platform.

Responsible for improving the user experience for the Sears Parts Direct website. Initial contributions included bringing some much-needed user experience processes within the product team, such as user testing, wire-framing, and visual mockups. I work across multi-functional product teams of design, development, and analytics to identify areas of opportunity, create solutions to improve conversion, and measure success through A/B and multi-variate testing along with qualitative usability.

Responsible for improving the user experience on the Scout.com website. I accomplish this by bringing some user experience processes to the product team, such as user research, wire-framing, and visual mockups. I collaborate with executives, product, and dev team to improve the Scout platform for publishers, and helped improve the phone UX for the responsive website as well as the Scout App.

Worked on the Discovery and Navigation Design Team where I explored ways to help customers discover products more easily. Prior to this I was the Lead UX designer for the Communities Team. Worked closely with the product team to design features that help customers make more informed purchase decisions. My process started with identifying a problem customers were having. Then I worked backward from there to explore various solutions until I discovered the very best one to serve the customer’s need. Some of the projects I was responsible for included customer review quotes, updating the customer review design on the detail pages and the review submission pipeline.

Responsible for user experience on Events and Communication verticals for the social media website. I worked with product managers to design the mobile application called Local Concerts, for the iPhone, Android, and Win 7. My process included developing both high level and detailed storyboards and proto-types to convey interaction and design concepts. I collaborated with vertical owners, developers, and the core UX team to integrate multiple projects into the overall system, including the design of a new version of the popular events mobile application.

Collaborated closely with integrators and developers to bring innovative products to life. Designed for touch screen interfaces, including surface applications. Projects included Accela Mobile Office, QuickBooks Pro Reports Center, Elektra proof of concept, and Scenario Development for Microsoft Development Platform Evangelist Team.

Worked as lead designer for SierraHome consumer 3D home and landscape design software products. Responsible for designing, prototyping and specifying software UI for developers, as well as providing usability research and analysis to product teams, planning and implementing user testing, overseeing UI art production, writing functional specs, and design project management.

Responsible for the creative implementation of all online company materials. Designed and created all initial start-up web sites, and maintained updates and redesigns. Company sites included children’s web sites and financial web sites. Developed multimedia fund-raising presentations.

Designed and implemented all online services for a children’s educational materials publishing company, which consisted of maintaining and updating corporate information, company intranet, online catalogs, and new online publishing materials for teachers.
