Eager Tiger Software

Eager Tiger Software publishes software I design and create to make people's lives easier. My Android app, Meetie London, helps people to find optimal places to meet their friends in London. Powered by novel graph algorithms, Meetie London shares out travelling time fairly between groups of friends, and helps them to find entertainment at their recommended meeting place.Meetie London released to positive coverage from multiple press outlets, including the London Evening Standard and Time Out. Vodafone rated it amongst their "must have" apps of the month. It's written in Java/Android using Android Studio. I currently support this project, and the positive response means that I will soon roll it out in other major world cities.

Research Associate

London, Greater London, Gb

This is a highly varied role which requires extensive flexibility and constant learning. Major tasks include: performing modelling and simulation, developing mathematics, software engineering and global software support, data analysis, technical writing, speaking at international conferences, supervision of students, extensive international collaboration, and website management. My focus is the study of cardiovascular disease by simulating blood flow in arteries. A typical workflow involves segmenting medical imaging data and creating CAD models, creating finite element meshes, and simulating using the Navier-Stokes equations on high-performance computers. Analysing the results involves inventing case-specific data analysis techniques, examining time-series medical data and comparing with the simulation.Key Achievements:* Design, implementation and evaluation of novel and abstracted data-driven mathematical models for the complex biological processes involved in the regulation of blood flow. These can be applied as boundary conditions to fluid domains.* Simulation of patient-specific hypoplastic left heart syndrome with a complete, closed-loop circulatory system, obtaining excellent agreement with a rich dataset recorded from the patient (see media below).* Created arbitrary boundary condition specification method, for agile design, testing and use of custom fluid boundary conditions. Developed a supporting drag-n-drop design GUI, based upon an open-source project.* Development of C++-embedded Python tools to make it easier for researchers to insert their own extensions to the blood flow modelling environment without needing to know about compilation.* Modification of particle tracking tools to enable continuous injection and regional metric accumulation (see media below).* Extensive software engineering work on the CRIMSON software family (C++, Python, Fortran, MPI, Lua) http://www.crimson.software/, and associated global deployment and support.
