I have finally decided to retire as there was no further opportunity for me as a Visiting Professor of Biology. I will certainly miss the daily interactions with my students and the overall collegial atmosphere of my friends and former colleagues at WNEU, BCC, and Ferrum College. It has been my great pleasure to help facilitate the growth and development of those students with whom I have been privileged to work, most particularly those whose professional goals have drawn them to health care. It is now time to reflect on what has been a wonderful and fulfilling life in veterinary medicine and education and take some time to enjoy the boundless beauty of this country - hopefully with some great fishing!

I taught 6 different subjects: Science Literacy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Honors Anatomy & Physiology and Environmental Science. Three of these courses were directly created by me and served to benefit the secondary students of a rural community who sought to explore options outside their home community.During this same period I owned and operated the Rangeley Region Sport Shop, a fly fishing retail business. As such I am an avid flyfisherman and outdoor enthusiast.
