- Support and assist the Compliance Manager on all matters of Health & Safety, Environmental and Security in the Ports of Lowestoft and King’s Lynn with the coordination of the following- Development and review of relevant HSES risk assessments and safe systems of work for all departments and ensure they are made available to relevant personnel- Drive communications with the team including Chair Health & Safety, Environmental and Security Committee meetings, and to follow up in a timely manner- Liaise and build effective working relationships with the Head of Safety, local and national regulatory and statutory bodies and other key stakeholders- Ensure all employees are aware of their safety and environmental responsibilities under ABP's policies and procedures, ensuring learning is appropriately embedded- Support the promotion of a proactive HSES culture, including the delivery of safety and environmental induction and development training programmes- Advise local port management on HSES best practice, benchmarking and performance, including the preparation of relevant KPls and formal monthly HSES reports to assist the Port Manager in month end reporting- Assist the Port Manager with the coordination of internal and external HSES inspections & audits, the completion of self-audits and the monitoring and coordination of any subsequent actions- Maintain and update all reported safety and environmental incidents, near misses and complaints on the Management Incident data system. Ensuring appropriate remedial or preventative actions are taken- Control of contractors and visitors to the port, including site inductions, monitoring and auditing- Instil and maintain the port housekeeping standards throughout- Monitor and audit port tenant activities regarding environmental and health and safety standards

Norwich

- Supporting the site Manager with the coordination of trades, contractors and materials to meet the production programme of construction of a Solar Farm- Providing a high standard of customer service and implementing the companies Health and Safety policy to the contracting workforce - Accepting site responsibility after transfer of Site Manager to another project - Offering site support to construction team to ensure site is fully resourced and well directed with clear guidelines to their job responsibilities - Site appointed first aid officer

Iraq

- One of a four-member team responsible for the transformation of a Greenfield site into an operational supply base in Kurdistan, subsequently supervising workforce safety within the lay down yard where circa $130m worth of equipment was installed - Responsible for designing and delivering daily safety meetings and toolbox talks to the workforce, for defining risks to enable job safety analysis to be completed, and for delivering safe operational procedures which identified relevant hazards- Enforced company policies and procedures consistently, participated in incident / accident investigation to determine route cause analysis and recommended corrective action- Led and mentored a multicultural workforce, instilling them with safe and compliant work practices which enabled them to deliver over 800 days of incident free operation with no loss time incidents from injury - Planned health and safety strategies, developed internal policy for local workforce and designed and delivered in-house training; promoting a robust safety culture - Managed records of safety inspection database, produced management reports which identified issues and recommended improvements, compiled daily incident / near miss reports, and collated / distributed industry safety bulletins- Inspected vendor supplied equipment to comply with Chevron safety procedures, and designed internal company checklist- Held additional roles as advisor to national management for lifting and rigging matters, competent person to certify lifting equipment and technical evaluation officer on Chevron tenders- Functioned as Chevron trained Lead Auditor of operation excellence safety procedures, working to ensure compliance with company standards and safe work practices

Nigeria

- Responsible for the inspection of vendor supplied lifting equipment, in a range of both onshore and offshore locations, to ensure full compliance with Chevron safety operational procedures - Performed six monthly visual inspections of Chevron owned lifting equipment and regular risk assessment of critical lifts - Managed a team of 10 Lifting Inspectors and functioned as Lifting / Safety training instructor to workforce of local nationals - Advised on, and supervised, critical lifts from quayside to boat and ensured maintenance of the lifting inspection database- Additional roles undertaken include marine and mobile lifting equipment audit team member; named person in charge of on job safety analysis on critical lifts; advisor to QA/QC and HES Dept. on rigging the lifting matters- Department Team Leader in Behavioural Base Safety (Stop Work Authority) and as Technical Evaluation Officer SME on tenders- Selected as Chevron trained Lead Auditor of OE Safety Operational Procedures, carrying out various level 2 safety audits at locations throughout Nigeria to ensure compliance with international standards and safe work practices
