As a senior GIS professional I lead the Westport Location Information Team. I am a GIS Oil Spill Response Coordinator for the Department of Transport. The Westport: Port and Environs Strategy will provide guidance to the Government on the planning, development and growth of the Port of Fremantle at the Inner and Outer Harbours, the required rail and road networks, and the potential for the Port of Bunbury to contribute to the handling of the growing trade task.The Westport Taskforce Steering Committee, which includes Directors General from six government departments, the Chair of the Western Australian Planning Commission and the Chairman of the Fremantle Ports Board, will oversee the project.

As SLIP Designer in the Location Information Strategy team delivering a range of new imagery services as well as the new Self Service Application for the Shared Location Information Platform for Western Australia. As the SLIP Designer I am responsible for leading the migration of data custodians and SLIP users from the existing SLIP Classic portal to the new platform. This process involves the development of processes and standards for the continual improvement of data and services. Key to the success of this process will be the transition of users to the new SLIP environment. I am responsible for the optimisation and testing of new services such as the new WA Now Imagery Service and the new Firewatch service used by DBCA and DFES.Responsibilities: GIS Lead on the web service and data download project streams. Lead spatial tester for the map service, web applications, data download and imagery services work streams. I am responsible for the management of the spatial analysts working on the project, liaising with project business analysts and providing technical knowledge and expertise to SLIP services on the development of procedures and standards for the improvement of services and applications. Developing all spatial work documents for the project; user guides; test cases; work instructions; test reports; future work instructions for the SLIP Services Team.Key Successes Developing a range of new imagery services Developed processes and standards for the future delivery of SLIP Services. Developing the new SLIP Self Service Application Innovation of the Decade Award 2018 for the Shared Location Information Platform
