I am passionate about sport, travelling and living life to its fullest by finding new adventures.My best assets as a colleague are, that I contribute, care about what I do and have the drive and determination to deliver high performance.I am qualified to bachelor’s degree level and a qualified teacher with 18 years’ experience in formal and non-formal education. I have previously worked in sports facilities management, and the charity third sector also.My roles have always been to develop high quality, innovative, educational provision, to help and raise aspirations. My projects have included vocational learning, online learning platforms and raising achievement programmes involving schools, hard to reach demographics for Young People and Adults. In October 2016, I delivered a best practice talk, around online badging at Mozfest at the O2 arena, off the back of a successful project. In 2022 my department won the FE Educate North Community Award, for its work with Refugees, as well as previously winning awards for technology innovation, for work with Looked After Children and commendation from The Prince’s Trust for continuing to offer programmes throughout the pandemic.In my previous role, I was responsible for Outreach & International Curriculum at Askham Bryan College. This covers the Prince’s Trust provision, Flexible Learning and International Departments. The department served over a thousand learners across 17 sites and line managing up to 52 staff.In my current role I lead a team of ten colleagues to manage contracts and performance for a number of high profile, high value contracts with a multitude of stakeholders.
