Chris Barron Work Experience Details
  • Embiosys
    Co-Founder And Ceo
    Embiosys Sep 2023 - Present
EMBioSys is developing a platform-based technology of non-pharmacological, electrode-free, therapeutic wearable garments that utilize low level induced electric fields (iEFs) to address unmet needs for treatment of metastatic cancers. Our initial market entry focus is on treatment of breast cancer, and more specifically Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). In the U.S., >300,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed each year, of which>40,000 are Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). TNBC is the most difficult type of breast cancer to treat, has a high rate of recurrence, has a 5-year survival rate with distant metastases of only 12%, and accounts for 40% of all breast cancer related mortality. Current standard of care therapies result in poor treatment outcomes, poor patient quality of life, and high financial burden for families and healthcare. This is the problem we are solving at EMBioSys. Our EMBioSys iEF wearables will create a critically needed paradigm shift for treatment of TNBC and other difficult to treat solid cancers, in conjunction with standard of care.
