Worked 'client side' from the Gherkin in London, this was a single high profile event that was delivered on the 26 & 28 September 2013 in the Olympic Park. Swiss Re seconded me out of Grass Roots for a six month period to work for their global team. - Built the largest temporary structure ever attempted in Europe- Responsible for the entire event whilst bringing the project in on budget- Updated and presented to the Senior Leadership Team and various global internal stakeholders on a weekly and daily basis- Responsible for the recruitment and attendance of guests, speakers and attendees- Managed Grass Roots, Carlson Wagonlit, Innovation Arts, De Boer and a number of different communications agencies until the structure was built and the amazing event was delivered- 1200 high profile customers and senior stakeholders attended the first event with over 1500 staff and family members attending the second eventPhotos :- http://1989450.tifmember.com/v/photos/45917crd?ppp=0

Following a 2 month sabbatical whilst at AstraZeneca directly after the Boxing Day Tsunami in 2004, I spent nine months working on various rehabilitation projects with a charity in Sri Lanka. All the projects detailed below were funded and managed by myself and two friends, we had support and help from the Project Galle Charitable Trust so we could claim gift aid on this money.- Raised £32,000 in 8 months- Flew out to administer the local labour and funding arrangements. - Built two “new build” houses- Built eight “partial rebuild” houses (houses that were not completely lost)- Built a brand new school for over 80 students- Set up a ‘livelihoods project’ which provided tools and materials to help the locals start up their businesses again, plus many more smaller projects

- Responsible for managing a team who organised all training meetings and events for internal customers within the United Kingdom. My team would deliver up to 350 meetings each year with delegate numbers ranging from 10 – 1800- Sourced, evaluated and managed external suppliers such as our venue finding agents, production companies, travel agents, ground agents (DMC’s), entertainment/speaker agents and flight charter companies- Also responsible for the delivery of allocated stand alone events to include congresses, product launches and incentive trips in and across the USA and Europe- Reported to the Head of Conference and Events each month on the financial situation of a training budget- Delivered the full training programme for CRESTOR with a sales force of 1200 and supported on the many launch events.
