Worked in the Transportation division at Atkins as an APM for Network Rail Midland Mainline Electrification Project.

This role with the Crown Post Office as the client, involves the rejuvenation of Post Office branches country-wide into newer, more open plan layouts with an emphasis on a more pleasant customer interface. My role specifically is to make aware the risks to programme delivery of the 200+ branches and to manage at a top level alongside the Programme Manager. There is daily liaison with the client, PM's, contractors, CAD technicians and senior management in order to update the main tracker which is my primary responsibility.

To provide technical support to the controls hardware team within the Installations & Controls department, in order to achieve engine certification deadlines. The controls system incorporates a Turbine Case Cooling (TCC) system that reduces fuel burn and improves aircraft engine emissions.Responsibilities:• Assist the hardware engineers by managing all project documentation using Teamcenter (Product Lifecycle Management – PLM) software• Manage unit part configuration with Product Data Management (PDM) – an internal Rolls-Royce management system allowing the configuration of units from design to the build line• Support the unit engineers and the wider team with the creation and update of databases & systems, including internal document trackers• Liaise with suppliers and senior members of staff in other departments to collate progress against project milestones• Control & management of supplier communication through Electronic Communication Memo’s (ECM). This was through both electronic and paper copies, being sent through encrypted servers• Assist the management team through the continual reporting of Trent XWB & Trent 1000 engine packagesKey Achievements:• Meeting the target deadline for the Trent XWB certification• Independent creation of a new ‘Tracker’ for progressing Reports and condensing data into visual aids. This is an Excel based tracker using VBA script (macros)• Solely produced an updated Installations & Controls Unit Guide

To provide key support to the Environment Department byassisting them with ongoing duties and projects, in andaround the SMACC (Stainless Melting And ContinuousCasting) meltshop.Responsibilities:• Statutory, continuous weekly extraction, monitoring and analysis of trade effluent waters across 3 sites, required for ISO 14001with weekly cross functional results feedback across different departments, sites and management levels• Daily completion of essential waste management spreadsheets and procedure checklist monitoring• Managing the Environment laboratory including monitoring the efficiency and calibration dates for the pH meter, Total Dissolved Solids meter, weighing scales, vacuum equipment and the Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer. • Support the Environmental Engineer for the fundamental maintenance of landfill pumps, in order to achieve leachate consent level in order to work within Environment Agency permit consent. • Utility meter readings & Duty of Care auditsKey Achievements:• Re-designed and implemented spreadsheet documents providing greater clarity on waste • Re-organisation of the laboratory and its procedures allowing for greater efficiency and time saving • Implementation of a collaborative printer cartridge recycling across one site• Re-structured the waste document records
