CurrentThe Royal Canadian Marine Search & Rescue is a volunteer marine search and rescue organization that is an integral part of the Canadian Search and Rescue (SAR) system. Station 60 Comox is one branch of RCM-SAR. The men and women of Station 60 Comox are made up of dedicated community members who volunteer their time to be trained in marine SAR and boating safety education in order to better serve the people of the Comox Valley and save lives on the water. The RCM-SAR and Station 60 Comox’s mission is to provide a volunteer marine rescue service and to promote public boating safety education and prevention.Station 60 Comox’s goals are:to save 100 % of lives at riskto reduce the number and severity of SAR incidentsto promote marine safetyto support the Canadian Coast Guardto provide a humanitarian serviceto maintain the highest professional standardsto promote dedication and pride of membershipStation #60 is always looking for new members who currently have their PCOC card.
