Throughout my education and career I have looked to utilise art and design to enhance the effectiveness, and enjoyability, of learning for both children and adults. Building upon my experience gained working as a researcher at the Learning Methods Unit of Liverpool John Moores University, I established Splinter to bring this mindset to a commercial setting.I have led the company for more than a quarter of a century, developing the skills to not only manage the diverse requirements of a small business, but to also plan for the future, maintaining the flexibility required to cope with the market and technology changes that have occurred over that time.I have project managed and creatively led a wide range of animation, video, e-learning, corporate branding, illustration and graphic design briefs, for clients such as the BBC, Unilever and many more private and public bodies. I also still enjoy getting creatively ‘hands on’ with projects whenever I can.
