In my current role as Sr. Scientist in the Quality group, I help develop, sustain, and implement use of industry standard quality systems and practices to ensure the business is operating in compliance with all applicable GMP principles. I partner with multiple business functional areas to ensure uninterrupted supply of material and to support cross functional business needs as directed by managing staff. Responsibilities also include support and execution of in-process, release, and stability testing of finished product as needed, as well as root cause analysis based investigation of OOS, OOE, or other quality events requiring attention to mitigate. Responsibilities also include DMS specification management authorship, review, and other duties as needed to support continuity of business operations in a quicky expanding organization.

I worked in the Process Excellence Group at Hikma. We spread knowledge and encourage use of Lean Six Sigma principles and tools site wide. We provide direct support to each business functional group where needed to ensure site wide strategic prioritized initiatives are completed. Classroom instruction of grades K-8 in varying outdoor subjects including stream ecology, the scientific method, rope work, outdoor crafts, wilderness survival, and many other subjects. Also was responsible for supervising meals, leading songs, classroom discipline, and entertainment of campers. Upkeep of trails including chainsaw work was preformed as well.

Tinnerman Wilderness Canoe Base was operated by the Boy Scouts of America. It was a backcounty canoe high adventure camp located on the French River in Ontario, Canada.The camp operated during the summer months. I started out as a guide, advanced to senior guide, then finally to Chief of River Operations. Responsibilities as Chief included guide training, orientation and evaluation. I coordinated participant arrival and departure, keeping in mind safety of crew members and equipment. I delegated labor to accomplish weekly tasks, itinerary planning, as well as upkeep and maintenance involved in the continued successful operation of a backcounty camp.
