As a Lab Tutor at Victoria University, I am responsible for coming to, and preparing equipment for lab sessions, marking assignments, and answering students questions. I put effort into giving the students clear and concise explanations and guide them towards solving problems through their own abilities. There is also a public group chat for the course.

As a research Assistant, I was tasked with taking previous computer graphics research done at CMIC on 6-DoF media and extending it. This was achieved by implementing it in Unity to increase performance and lay the foundation for future research into this area by CMIC. My role involved studying the current solution, investigating the best way to translate.

At CMIC, under a different supervisor, I worked in a research team to develop a tool to assist 3D animators with creating facial animation. My role involved creating documentation, compiling a database of motion capture data, developing an interface for accessing and manipulating the data, and developing optimized data structures to stream and efficiently.

My job as a Private Tutor is to help students from a variety of schools and academic backgrounds improve in their schoolwork so they feel prepared and confident for their NCEA exams. I meet with each student weekly and prepare a structured lesson on their subject or work through a practice exam. I am responsible for ensuring my students are confident in.

I was responsible for cleaning all surfaces and bathrooms, along with vacuuming and moping the floor after hours on Fridays. I always ensured the school was as clean and tidy as possible, so the students and staff could have a pleasant learning environment.

This position revolved around Onslow College’s IT system. My main responsibility was to re-image their computers with new operating systems and software. I also performed system backups, IT support, repaired and relocated equipment whilst carrying out other duties. I completed each task efficiently and to the best of my ability to keep things running.
