I started this journey more than 17 years ago, when I purchased my first audio interface, microphone and laptop at 13. Throughout high school, I spent most of my time recording friends or myself or hanging out in the local studios in Marietta, GA. My first year at college, I attended Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, pursuing a communications degree with hopes of working at an Atlanta radio or television broadcast station, processing audio. From there, I decided I wanted more specific training and attended the Art Institute of Atlanta. After a year there, I received DAW certifications in Pro Tools and Logic Pro, a wealth of knowledge and a 6-month internship at Atlanta's Turner Broadcasting System, where I worked in both the studios and the post-production audio rooms. This all culminated in me branching out on my own to attempt to satisfy the growing need for freelance audio engineers. Due to the variable nature of freelance audio work, my skills have grown vastly over the past 6 years. I've worked on projects ranging from music composition, recording, and mixing, to podcast and audiobook post-production, to short-film mixing and dialog editing. My clients range from individuals to small production studios to corporations. As of November 2019, I have accepted a full-time position at Hallow, Inc. as Lead Audio Engineer, and am extremely excited to continue my journey there.
