I am the General Manager for Advanced Distribution Systems Inc. I manage our two facilities in the south Atlanta area, one works with various dry storage goods and the other with food grade material. We have rail service and are ASI food grade certified with an excellent rating. I handle all aspects of our facility management with the assistance of an Operations Manager, including: planning, scheduling, inventory control, human resources, training, purchasing, website development and online advertising, account procurement and set up, regulatory compliance and 3rd party audits, as well as building and equipment maintenance.

Manage 3 warehouses (400,000 total square feet) $85 million in inventory, 47 unique customer accountsResponsible for management of numerous customer accounts and various product lines from food grade chemicals to corrugated/foil and plastic packaging products for medical supply and HBA manufacturers.Direct office and warehouse staff including management and supervision personnel. Coordinate employee recruitment, retention, and training as well as workforce planning, scheduling, and manage productivity standards. Audit billing, record maintenance, payables, and handle payroll/benefits/workers compensation. Supervise warehouse day to day operations: receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of 500+ orders daily.Operate top ranked Superior rated food grade facility in compliance with GA Dept of Agriculture, FDA, GMP/GWP and various third party audit standards. Manage maintenance programs for: all buildings, fire suppression systems, equipment fleet maintenance and replacement, internal and external audits.

Responsible for the day to day operations of the service department, including two dispatchers, a warranty clerk, fifteen road technicians, three shop techs and a CDL truck driver.I managed all aspects of the service department including P&L reports, HR related functions (hiring and termination processing), payroll management, open work order maintenance in our system (NDS), shop operations and road calls, training and safety, planned maintenance programs, transportation department. I also ran all of the Toyota reporting programs and metrics for key performance indicators, uniform accounts and equipment budgets. Maintaining Toyota warranty requirements for reimbursement and maintaining serviced excellence in compliance with strict Toyota standards.

Responsible for 3 warehouses totaling 400,000 square feet.Dealt with all customers and set up new accounts, managed inventories on 37 different accounts as well as all aspects of their inbound and distribution shipments.Responsible for maintaining standards of compliance with Inspection agencies and governmental regulatory compliance (OSHA, AIB, Fire department & Capital Ins, USDA)Supervised 2 department heads and 12 regular employees as well as up to 30 temporary associates.

Working directly with SEARS corporate and the GM to plan shipping/delivery work schedules.Responsible for daily operations of the shipping dept. shipping approx. 350.000 cartons/tires out per month.Delegation of the workload to the proper leads and dept. heads as well as supervising 60 full time hourly employees and four facilitators. Responsible for scheduling, equipment maintenance, record keeping, inventory, safety, security, training new hires, disciplinary action and employee evaluations.

Solicitation of new accounts and maintenance of existing ones.Daily reports, interviewing candidates, inventory, and light data entry related to invoicing, managing onsite office.Customer relations with facilities under contract with QLS.

Labor management supervising onsite warehouse and office staff under contract with LMS. Supervision of general distribution center task such as: inventory control, shipping and receiving, productivity tracking, scheduling, equipment management, daily reports and logs.Managed the HR office and conducted interviews as well as all admin duties (contracts/workers comp/U.I. claims), in charge of: hiring, indoctrinations, training, terminations, advertising, sales, and off site/out of state new facility start ups.
