Manage 170+ employees across various roles within a fast-paced transport company and play an important part in fulfilling the several contracts the business has as a one-person department being the focal point of all HR matters within the business. Answering emails to internal and external stakeholders. Building relationships with external recruitment agencies to help people back into work and support their development. Sending several daily reports to directors updating them on recruitment, annual leave, absences, training and disciplinary matters. Identify, interview and select prospective new employees to ensure no gaps are left unfulfilled whilst adhering to a strict budget. Conduct disciplinary and investigation meetings. Deliver training to all employees to ensure compliance on all aspects of employee job roles. Introduced several polices and performance management tools in role to date all which have had a positive impact on revenue, employee relations, staff retention and compliance. Currently helping the business achieve 100% electrification by 2025.

Elected for two terms by student’s, duties included: Sitting on the Board of Directors to represent students, budget control, policy writing, recruiting student officers, advise students on course applications, representing students at disciplinaries and appeals, liaising with directors, lecturers and senior management to ensure the student voice is heard, help form course content, create initiatives to drive engagement, control social media engagement. I successfully created a safe room for students who were struggling with daily student life which was implemented over three campuses.

Worked in a highly regulated rent-to-own sector which sold items such as Sofa’s, TV’s, white goods, phones and tablets on hire purchase contracts. The job was to run the day-to-day operations of the store in order to achieve and maximise all commercial and financial targets. Main responsibilities included: recruitment, HR duties such as investigatory, disciplinary and appeal meetings, coaching, motivating and developing employees, managing tight control over budgets and P&L, maintaining and driving a clear focus on customer service, sales and collections, inbound and outbound calls, compliance monitoring and tracing, sales, debt & customer growth, store Standards, budgetary & systems, people management & development and fleet management & operation. The store had revenue of £165,000 each month which I was targeted to clear 94% of this through achieving various KPI’s including debt collection and by controlling the store’s losses. Since April 2013 I saved the company over £490,000 through loss prevention management.
