Accountable for the delivery of two separate aerospace programmes with high $ revenue profiles. The programmes have been implemented on-time and within budget. I am responsible for the Ignition System and Sensors Suite controls hardware on the Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engine, to ensure the schedule, technical, financial and industrial success of the programme.• Co-ordinating the proposal, negotiating the contract and securing contract award.• Identify the optimal solution to deliver the programme.• Maintain an executive presence with the customer and the supply chain.• Responsible for delivering on the programme business plan, forecasts and long-term planning.• Oversight of the Governance Framework.• Implementing Programme Management best practices.• Implement and deliver Programme Key Performance Indicators.• Drive the programme to achieve financial, technical, quality and timing requirements.• Responsible for the Change Control Process, scope change and contract amendments.• Functional manager to the Programme Manager and the Project Managers, setting objectives and managing performance.• Drive process improvement according to the key areas identified in the diagnostic phase.• Ensure knowledge is retained and shared within the organisation.

Responsible for the development and certification (CS-E / RTCA DO160) of the Ignition System and Sensors Suite controls hardware on a large civil gas turbine engine. Located on-site at Rolls-Royce Derby, Chris managed a team of engineers and project managers for the development and certification phase of the Trent 900 and Trent 1000 engines.• First point of customer contact for all programme issues.• Developing and maintaining top level Project Plan with cost, quality, risk analysis and timing.• Carrying out project and milestone reporting and escalation of issues.• Ensuring rigorous documentation and change control with the customer, internal and supply chain.• Supplying timely information on project critical issues.• Facilitating effective communication by understanding issues from a customer’s perspective.• Responsible for preparation of formal reviews such as PDR and CDR.

Provide technical support to airline operators (South African Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Emirates) during the launch of a new aircraft (A340-600). Support of the FADEC system to the power-plant teams, flight crew and maintenance functions. Other roles held at Goodrich Engine Controls include Flight Test Engineer (Airbus), Qualification Engineer & Design Engineer.
