Building on the momentum we created with SR2, I am currently working with BVN to further integrate computational design and digital fabrication - with a focus on robotics and additive manufacturing (3D printing) - into our design process as we continue our journey towards a new regenerative architecture and design.The positioning should come as no surprise - while the construction industry is worth $360b to the Australian economy (9% of GDP) and employs almost one million people, it also contributes around 40% of greenhouse gasses, and 12% of embodied carbon. It is also one of the least digitised sectors, is heavily fragmented and continues to decline in productivity. Accelerated by the shock of COVID-19, the industry is at a point where current practices are no longer sustainable, and change will happen. This presents a significant challenge with great opportunity. We need at hand the best tools that are available, including Digital Fabrication, to engage with new regenerative practices including those suggested by models for the Circular Economy. I continue to facilitate and engage in transdisciplinary collaboration and research, and currently lead the championing and development of physical making and material experimentation across our practice in support our core purpose – Collective Creativity to Design a Better Future.

In my role as Senior Associate and Computational Design I continue to help BVN adopt and integrate new fabrication technologies including the use of Robotics and 3D printing into our design and making processes.We work closely with Universities in this endeavor and I am currently am leading our latest collaborative applied architectural robotics research project Systems Reef 2.0, established between BVN and UTS' Transformative Technologies and Data Poetics Group (TT+DP) and the Faculty of Design, Architecture and Building (DAB) along with UTS' Advanced Fabrication Laboratory (AFL).In addition to this, I apply my skills generally to BVN's projects on a range of scales and design phases to help achieve better outcomes for our clients,

I joined BVN in 2013, and became an Associate in 2016. In my role as computational designer I have championed digital fabrication techniques within BVN and have helped us adopt them into our design processes and built work.Working primarily in the Rhino/Grasshopper environment, I have applied my skills to a wide collection of project typologies and scales including Workplace, Residential, Healthcare, Hi-Rise, Commercial, Masterplanning and Sport.

Co-Founded the research and knowledge share platform 'Robots in Architecture and Construction Australia'. We want this platform to help our peers and collaborators 'work out loud' so we can accelerate the adoption of these technologies into our industries.https://www.linkedin.com/groups/10361169
