Customer Insights Lead

Melbourne, Victoria, Australia

Jun 2020 - Sep 2023

Insights & Strategy Director

Melbourne, Australia

Working in both a quantitative and qualitative capacity, with a wide range of clients in a broad range of industries, this allowed me to bring a fresh and different perspective to each project that I ran. Relationship and account management was a strong focus of this role and during my time at The Interpreters, I was able to effectively create and maintain strong connections with clients. Critical to the role was the effective collection and dissemination of insights from multiples sources in a visual reporting format to ensure full comprehension and engagement with findings. I was able to effectively communicate often very data heavy research studies to large groups – from very senior stakeholders through to those with little research experience & understanding. As an insights specialist I gained experience in managing and conducting projects such as, but not limited to; large brand strategy developments, multinational brand health & equity trackers, NPS tracking, market sizing & segmentation studies, user experience & concept testing, new product development, innovation and pipelining workshops, ideation sessions and pricing studies. The mission of The Interpreters is to do the hard work for clients – present back a story rather than hard, cold facts. Science shows that our brains are far more engaged by storytelling than by traditional quantitative presentations so everything that I worked on ensured a clarity of message in a concise format.

Jan 2017 - Dec 2019

Insights & Strategy Director

Melbourne, Australia

Working in a largely quantitative capacity at BrandHook I honed my abilities to use statistical tools and techniques when required to deliver the best results for our clients. Combining data with design and delivering this through a story that helped to deliver a strategic outcome was paramount for all research at BrandHook. I’m passionate about data storytelling and and understand first-hand the impact that communicating data effectively can have within a business.

Research Manager

At Latitude Insights my role involved utilising both quantitative and qualitative methodologies to deliver actionable and insightful results to our clients. Quantitative experience with Latitude Insights includes the set up and management of numerous projects for a varied client base. Such projects include usage and awareness testing, NPD studies, segmentation studies, advertising & brand tracking, concept testing.Similarly, whilst at Latitude I was heavily involved in the set up and ongoing management of a number of online mixed methodology and wholly quantitative research panels for clients. Tasked to ensure that panel members are continually engaged with the panel at an everyday level this involves continually updating content, incentive management, survey design and online scripting, scheduling activities, campaign delivery, reporting and analysis, etc. Another aspect of my role was to manage and moderate online research communities. As a methodology communities are growing in popularity given their ability to elicit robust qualitative data in an engaging and familiar environment. As a community manager I was responsible for content management, discussion guide design, strategic analysis of fragmented data and reporting this in a visually expressive format. As a Research Manager I was involved in liaising with clients on a frequent basis, establishing their needs and deriving a strategy so they can achieve as much as possible with their research dollar.
