Working with farms, rural small and craft beverage businesses, focus on strengthening and growing the rural economy, which is key to preserving Loudoun’s way of life and keeping the County a wonderful place to live, work and play. As part of an award-winning team of economic development professionals, our support for rural businesses is extensive and effective, with 123 rural business projects accounting for $37 million in new investment and 5,743 acres of land preserved since August 2018. Lead rural economic development programs that have garnered international economic development awards. Spearheaded the IEDC award-winning "Loudoun Made, Loudoun Grown Marketplace" e-commerce marketplace launched to help farms through the early COVID era. Post-COVID, focused on reestablishing B2B connections and led the development of the web resource "LoudounFarm.Exchange" helping local agricultural producers find farm goods, services, and land available in the County. This program was recently recognized by the National Association of Counties (NACo) with an Achievement Award in the community and economic development category. Maintain signature programs such as Spring & Fall Farm Tours, Loudoun Farmer Trading Cards in partnership with LCPS Nutrition Services, and the Take Loudoun Home for the Holidays Guide.
