As a Director of ATB’s Loan Syndications Group, I work as part of a team who adds value to clients by increasing their access to capital and access to financial services. ATB’s Loan Syndications Group provides loan syndication arrangement and agency services to public and private corporations, private equity sponsors, and entrepreneurs. We designed deal structures to support client's corporate and growth strategies, with solutions ranging from leverage finance, reserve based lending, project finance, to general corporate. ATB’s Loan Syndication Group has significant market share in the Canadian syndicated loan market as the only Alberta domiciled syndications group bringing professionally arranged transaction to market.Specific activities included: • Manage all aspects of the syndication process for ATB lead syndications and where ATB is administrative agent. This includes working in concert with the client, the sponsor, legal counsel, the relationship managers, the lenders, and credit underwriters • Ensuring that the due diligence and information package is prepared and sufficient for the transaction • Leading the transaction through the origination, underwriting, marketing, documentation, and closing process• Negotiation of credit documents in liaison with legal counsel• Provide expertise and guidance to clients and ATB on current market structures• Managing all loan trading and secondary market activity

As the manager of investor relations at Coalspur I individually managed the investor relations function for the dual listed company (TSX and ASX). I oversaw corporate communication including press releases, corporate presentations, and discussions with research analysts. I also managed investor related activities, including: site-visits, road-shows, and conference participation. I was responsible for worked with senior management and Board of Directors on developing investor relations strategy and its execution. In addition to investor relationships participated in corporate finance activities including: development and maintenance of corporate financial model, evaluation of financial alternatives, and completion of senior debt commitment from EIG Global Energy Partners (US$350 million).

As an analyst I was primarily responsible for the analysis and structuring of potential transactions, which include management buy-outs, growth financings and corporate divestitures. I was involved in negotiation, interpretation and ongoing adherence to credit agreements of portfolio companies.I provided continuing analytical support to portfolio companies to assist in cash flow projections, merger and acquisition modeling, and accretion and dilution analysis. Notable transactions include: RTL-Westcan LP acquisition of ECL Transportation Ltd. and the concurrent C$120 million High Yield Note for RTL-Westcan LP.
