I have 24 years technical, commercial and management experience in the dairy and beverage industryI career started my career in New Product Development and Quality Assurance. New Product development became a passion which formed a core part of my career up to date. I gained valuable experience in retail being part of the Woolworths Dairy Category initial as Food Technologist and eventual as Commercial and Category Manager of the Dairy and Bakery Desserts Category. During my career at Woolworths gained international dairy industry Exposure in Europe, Australia and New Zealand which was the corner stone for my new and current care path.In 2005 Dr. Tertius Cilliers and I established a Research and Development Company, Research Solutions, which the view to offer the Dairy and related Industry with world class holistic solutions which include factory design and layout, product development and problem solving. The core of the business was new innovation solutions. This exciting and successful venture was recognised by the Danish Global Ingredient giant , Danisco who acquired Research Solutions(at that stage the leader in ingredient and innovation solutions in the dairy industry) to incorporate our innovative and entrepreneurial approach into their business model in Sub- Saharan Africa region.As entrepreneur I took a career break and invested in breeding of rare and exotic game species - Roan antelope, Golden Gnu, Golden Oryx and Black Impala - in the Limpopo Busveld. These projects are established and ongoing for the future.Currently I reinvested back into the Food Industry and was appointed by the Innovative Research Solution(IRS) as Director of Dairy and Beverages and as Technical Director of Nfinite(Fruit Preparation and Solutions specialist) form 1 September 2016.My passion is creating innovative solutions for our customers to meet their ever changing consumer base.
