About Chris Bowden
I am the founder and MD of Squeaky, the leading marketplace for clean energy. Squeaky is the smartest, most efficient way for businesses to buy, sell and use 100% clean UK-generated energy. We're the pioneers of flexible energy supply and corporate PPAs, and smash the barriers that prevent corporate and public sector organisations from using more clean energy. Our digital clean energy supply platform, EOS, gives our customers greater transparency and control over how they source and use energy. So they can make smart decisions, fast - cutting operating costs and unlocking value.Before founding Squeaky, I was involved in the development of the UK pool, worked on the bond financing of Sutton Bridge, and held the role of CEO in two other companies in the energy market, including Spenceram (a company that advised pension funds on investing in renewable energy) and Utilyx (the UK's largest buyer of electricity for large corporate consumers). At Utilyx I was proud to have pioneered the development of flexible electricity supply arrangements and completed Europe's first corporate PPA in 2008. I have a wealth of experience in starting and building up companies for sale, as well as a keen interest and expertise in energy, sustainability, innovation and futurism. I am an alumni of Harvard Business School, Cass Business School and Manchester University and have also attended the University of Singularity. In my spare time I am passionate about stand-up comedy, food and travel. I also love to help young people reach their potential through entrepreneurship and mentoring programs. As part of this work, I hold the position of chair of YPO Greater London Gold www.ypowpo.org and enjoy nothing more than seeing young people excel in their careers.
