In this role I managed the full end to end supply chain which included Demand planning, capacity planning, production planning, customer service, 3PL management and transport. This role was very fast paced and required a keen eye for detail aswell as the ability to look more strategically at the business’s forward requirements. This was driven through the implementation and development of the S&OP process which allowed us to make good quality short term and long term decisions.

In this role I managed the full supply chain this incorporated forecasting, planning, customer service, stock control, 3PL contract management, Co-pack management, stores and dispatch along with being the business lead on S&OP. While in this role we saw improvements in forecast accuracy by around 7%, stock shortages dropped to a record low levels, stock accuracy levels increased by 2%, we developed transparent customer service monitoring and was seen as a gold standard supplier to our customers, and finally i delivered significant YOY savings through changes to our 3PL contracts and changes to our supply route either into our warehouses or direct to customers.I also integrated 2 new 3PL providers and also the potato arm of the business from licence to Co-pack.

The key element of the role is to review the whole supply chain and understand which areas the supply chain team need to focus to make us best in class.

The senior activity manager role involves the project management of all NPD and EPD for Healthcare brands produced at the Hull site. My focus is on Gaviscon one of the major power brands for Reckitt Benckiser in the Health care remit. To ensure I am successfull in the role I need to liase with all global markets to understand the nature and scope of any change required, this is done through a change control system called Trackwise, which I am a super user, and have had to help with the training of all markets.Once the scope is understood I then need to liase with relevant functions to ensure the change happens on time the functions I may deal with are planning, technical, procurement, quality, engineering and regulatory. I also deal with all levels of people in the business from junior managers to directors.Another key element of the role is looking for solutions when problems arise, not accepting the first answer, challenging the status quo and reviewing processes and procedures that may in part affect the NPD process, this is the part of the job I most enjoy.

This role was primarily focused on the management of the forecasting, planning, materials and customer service team. My main aim was to manage the stock levels of all stock groups down to a low level while maintaining high customer service levels, which I did very successfully.I am very system focused and implemented Preactor planning systems single handed, I was also part of the QAD implementation team which was implemented at the same time as Preactor. I am also proficient with Futurmaster forecasting tool.
