My main duty here was to devise an ICT strategy that simplified and consolidated the best of the 15 disparate ICT communities across the Trust. By using consulting skills gained during my time in IBM, I gathered a picture of the current environment, and began to create a strategic roadmap, based on industry research. Initial successes included an implementation of a common telephony system across the Trust, enabling more effective and lower cost verbal communications. Also, a common broadband solution is being deployed, again to give benefits of scale from a purchasing perspective, but also to create a consistent safeguarding framework.The Trust is now starting to deploy a consistent ICT operating model, and to centralise resources, in line with the strategy.

During my first year of teaching, I also undertook the role of Careers and Aspirations Lead for the Academy. In this role, I was the focal point for careers activities, which included careers education days and trips. Major successes during this time were mock interviews for Year 11 students with external business contacts, and the introduction of a Careers Week for all Year 9 students.In 2015, I began to explore the progression of ICT into teaching. I was invited by the Head of the Academy to make visits to other schools advanced in the use of ICT, and subsequently played a lead role in the Trust’s IT Steering Group. This led to being pivotal in the development of the Trusts’ ICT Strategy, including the platform selection decision and the SharePoint structure. I also architected and introduced a VLE for all subjects within the Year 12 students at the Academy. This also included the selection and provision of cloud books for all year 12 students. As a result of this proactive approach to developing ICT in the classroom, I was appointed to the role of Trust ICT Strategy Manager in August 2018.

Working with major retailers, I used my experience of IBM over the years to bring together IBM offerings (and those of others) into an environment that releases business benefit. Covering complex projects such as Data Centre Migrations, Disaster Recovery Planning and Execution, and Implementation and Exploitation of new technologies (both in the Data Centre and End User spaces), I aimed to develop good working relationships, in order to bring the best out of IBM's intellectual capital

Achieved 120% of $6.1m quota per annum based on named customers, IBM mainframe softwareIn this role, Chris was responsible for managing the mainframe software revenues from a territory of financial institutions. This role involved the management of both monthly license charge and one time charge software. Key to this role was client relationships at a variety of levels within the organisation, from systems programmer to CIO. Chris successfully managed to increase the year-on-year revenue from the territory during the first year. During the second year, the territory was expanded to include a major high street retailer (building on previous skills).

In this role, Chris was responsible for managing the relationship and facilitating the sales of IBM's products and services into a major high street retail group. A significant achievement during 2005 was a displacement of an incumbentcompetitor for all the groups' disk storage needs, and a refresh of Unix based technology to latest IBM products in the data centre. Chris took 2005 revenues up from 2004, and client satisfaction has increased accordingly.During 2006, Chris increased the revenues up a further 26% from 2005 figures, with notable wins in store based technology and server infrastructure. Most significant however, was the increase in services penetration from IBM, with IBM being selected for several critical business-sponsored IT projects. This represented a major breakthrough with the client, who had previously used competitive service offerings.

Achieved, on average, 126% of $20m-$21m quota per annum based on named customers, all IBM productDuring this time, Chris led the sales management for a major international Consumer Products (CP) group, and also managed the international arm of a major UK retailer. The CP group were pursuing a major ERP programme across the globe, and Chris was responsible for leveraging IBM's sales arms for Unix and storage products, and implementation services across UK, US and Asia Pacific.The retailer was expanding its use of IBM point of sale products and services into Asia Pacific, and Chris managed the IBM transactions during thiis transition.During 2003, Chris completed the IBM Client Executive program, a residential course at Insead

Chris' role here was to ensure that the integrity of IBM's solutions met with both the clients' architectural vision, and with IBM's medium to long-term sales plans. Major contributions here were the consolidation of the groups' storage from multiple vendors onto IBM's platform, and the solution of the international retail architecture with IBM ePOS and Intel systems.

During this time, Chris joined the IBM Consulting Group and specialised in packageselection and Year 2000 projects.
