PDRF position responsible for the growth and characterisation of novel half-metallic thin films. This includes the running and maintenance of various vacuum systems, alongside the detailed analysis and interpretation of data acquired from a broad range of characterisation techniques. My focus has been on the use of synchrotron-based techniques in order to determine the structural properties of these half-metallic materials.

PDRF position focusing on the development and characterisation of materials for a novel type of photovoltaic device. The project involves the design and construction of prototype devices, as well as characterisation of the materials using a variety of techniques.

I worked as a Student Analyst for Halcrow Group Ltd during a Business in Industry Gap Year. I was required to fulfill several administrative roles in support of business development (delivering support to primarily internal customers, but also external clients when called upon). In addition to this I was often involved in the production of bids and other general fee-earning work outside of my typical remit.
