IT Manager accountable for end to end delivery of IT across Shells Downstream Finance business.Responsible for $2m of demand, encompassing strategy, projects and operations. Working as the first line support for the Trading and Operations staff with their trading systems, the role involves prioritizing and analysing problems and queries with the systems and resolving them as necessary. This role requires a lot of communication with the staff on the trading floor, and is of a vital and time critical nature due to the impact that it can have on trades being undertaken. It also requires communication between support levels; identifying when a problem needs to be escalated to second line support, and communicating this in a clear and timely fashion.

Working closely with Barclay’s HR department to provide support for their employee Incentive program. Working on a bespoke version of Callidus TrueComp, the role involves identifying and analysing problems within this system and resolving them as necessary. Along with this, communication and coordination with HR is vital as well as supporting business MI enquiries.Working as part of a third party company within a large organisation also brings a greater need in supplying and upholding a professional and efficient work ethic, in quality of work and presentation within the work environment.

Providing both IT and computing help to students and staff on Windows based systems. This involved a high level of computer skills as well as excellent communication skills for understanding and solving problems both face-to-face and via telephone. Experience also gained in query logging using REMEDY.

I initially worked part time whilst at college in the Credit Control department, but on completion of my A level courses in 2002, I worked full time for a year, progressing to the highest advisory level and attained an NVQ level 2 in customer service.
