An opportunity became available to join the current world champions so it was a position I had to take and something I had been trying to achieve for a few years. Since joining I have been assigned to chassis build as my main area of work.Key responsibilities: Mainly responsible for building and updating the chassis and floors Trimming, fitting and bonding of various composite parts when chassis work is complete Working to engineering drawings, build manuals and 3DX Use of SAP for booking onto and completing jobs Liaising with managers, team leaders and designers to report any issues found and find solutions Standing in as shift team leader when required

Due to Aston Martin withdrawing from the WEC championship there was the potential of being made redundant at Prodrive. Due to the timing, I felt the best move was to take a new contract role in F1 during car build. After an initial 3 month contract I was offered a full time position.. Key responsibilities: Part of the bodywork group which is focused on chassis, floors and bodywork. Assisting other groups when required to build front wings, rear wings and suspension  Trimming, fitting and bonding of various composite parts Working to engineering drawings and technical manuals Use of computer systems for booking onto and completing jobs Liaising with managers and charge hands to report any issues found

I Decided to leave Haas to progress my Career and gain experience as a Manager. My initial role was to manage the composites department for the Aston Martin WEC programhowever, my role has developed further and I additionally manage the customer car build and spares composite program Whilst in this role during the 19/20 season we won the WEC manufactures championship and i was part of the car crew that won the drivers championship the same year. I led the composite department to a flawless season with the FIA not finding any legality issues with the composites.Key Responsibilities  Managing 3 x technicians for WEC at the factory and trackside Managing 3 x technicians for the Aston Martin customer car build program Ensuring all composite components are built to the correct specification and highest standards Managing paint schedule and liaising with external paint shops to ensure bodywork is available for every event and car build Liaising with Mercedes Graphics to ensure bodywork has correct livery for every event Overseeing repairs of all carbon parts  Ensuring all repairs are done to a high standard and guiding the technicians where required Creating load lists for chief truckie and packing of freight Carrying out appraisals  Managing car part and consumable stock levels

Haas F1 team are a team that has only been racing one season however their goals are high which is what attracted me to the team. It’s a challenging role due to this, as not all procedures and design of the car is quite perfected. This is a different role than I have previously been used to as its more race team orientated and I’m required to help a lot more departments. I was also responsible for setting up a composite workshop, something that was new to me but achieved in quick and efficient mannerKey responsibilitiesWorking in a 2 person race support teamSupporting the race team in any way possible to ensure smooth transition of composite parts and assemblies from the factory to the trackTurnaround of all parts requiring composite repair, paint or pre-fitting of new parts after manufactureAssisting race team support mechanic with turnaround of his work and stripping/building of sub assembliesAttending car build in Italy involving pre fitting of all parts manufactured there to build the carsAttending races as required along with all tests. Responsible for the trimming and fitting of all aspects of the composites for F1 cars. Responsible for the trimming and fitting of components for aerospace and F1 teams including Mercedes, Force India and Caterham to a high standard. My main responsibilities were:A member of a 2 person teamTrimming of components such as Exhaust heat shields, Air intake heat shields, brake ducts, shrouds, aerodynamic parts and smaller componentsWorking on legality and non legality partsWorking to engineering drawings and technical manualsBonding and fitting of componentsWet lay-up repairsWorking 50+ hours per week to meet customer demandBonding, fitting and assembly of large satellite systems for Armed forces

Responsible for the trimming and fitting of components for various types of motorsport series including parts for F1 teams such as Renault and Mclaren to a high standard. My main responsibilities are:A member of a 5 person teamTrimming componentsWorking to engineering drawings and technical manualsBonding and fitting of componentsWorking with F1 floors, brake ducts, side pods, monocoque parts and other smaller componentsWrc components including bumpers, air intakesVarious smaller f1, wrc and other motorsport parts

Initially I managed 2 staff and dealt with customer relations and sales. I then had to make my staff redundant so was then responsible for all aspects of the business which included:Design and fabrication of exhausts using relevant bending equipment and tig welding, Engine management programming via laptop or new eprom installationInstallation of a wide variety of performance enhancing parts to vehiclesStock take and purchasingGeneral day to day running of the business

Responsible for the preventative maintenance and immediate repair of the mechanical aspects of 2 productions lines making Ribena and Lucozade. Machines worked on include:De-palletising AirveyoringConveyoringAseptic fillersBottle cappingLabellingInk jet codersPackagingPalletisingAll repairs and maintenance were done in accordance with company standard operating procedures and manufacturer's maintenance schedules. Some replacement parts were also manufactured in house according to engineering drawings

My role here was exactly the same as the above Glaxosmithkline role but I was a contractor
