Telecoms Industry:a) Assisted in rebuilding one of South Africa's largest telecoms company's website. The website was based in Drupal with Site Studio.Betting Industry:a) Working on unified odds feed integration which involves publishing and consuming messages to and from RabbitMQ, using Java, Docker, and DropWizard.b) Responsible for implementing the project that uploaded the raw messages received from RabbitMQ into an AWS S3 bucket.c) Creating and implementing the stub processing and multi-thread consumers as well as adding in the necessary test cases.Banking Industry:a) Assisted in the creation of: 1) Various sandbox environments for the numerous systems that handle the foreign exchange APIs 2) REST services for quoting & trading, as well as multiple rates services which will soon replace the older soap web services.b) Updating services to also change from using an Active MQ implementation to instead use a REST Client to achieve the same goal.c) Creating a REST Client in order to expose the existing service to the main trading service, that uses it.d) Creating Maven archetype to aid faster project duplication.
