As a Professional Engineer with over 32 years of experience, I concentrate exclusively on the evaluation and correction of deficiencies with existing buildings involving exterior facings, façade and curtain wall systems, and structural components (including retaining walls, balconies and parking garages) in nearly all common building materials including brick, block, cast-in-place concrete, structural steel, EIFS, stucco, aluminum, fiberglass, light gage metal framing, wood, stone, precast concrete, pre-stressed concrete, and post-tensioned concrete. Identification and remediation of water leaks and defects in plazas, building walls, and foundations, including site grading, below grade waterproofing, and drainage systems are also in my repertoire. Performing due diligence/pre-purchase surveys of office buildings and apartment complexes as well as warranty/transition studies for condominiums are a core part of our business.Mr. Carlson is known as an expert in the evaluation and correction of building deficiencies related to exterior facings and structural elements.
