Started as Resident Technophobe. Authored and executed B.A.M.N. awareness campaign. Created cross vertical awareness. Targeted and secured strategic/visible accounts to establish viability of product. Helped to secure additional funding.

One of founding partners of award winning sales agency that handled the sales, distribution, regional marketing and placement for brands such as Nike (a division of), adidas (a division of), And1, Mitchell & Ness, MLB Headwear (American Needle) and several others. Pioneered several start up brands into key distribution points.

Handled sales, marketing, promotions for Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho and Alaska (which I've still never been to). In 1997 I took over strategic accounts in N. California.Key part of the sales team that won back-to-back "Group of the Year" awards.

Handled sales, sponsor relations, marketing, training and event execution for early stage events company in 8 strategic markets west of the Mississippi. Successful maximized a resource constrained environment by frequently dining on $.10 all you can eat chicken wings. Authored and implemented company wide bartering system known as "Cotton Money" by negotiating the exchange of event merchandise for dinner and beers in each event market. (not sure the beer part was exactly legal!) Program resulted in a 114% increase in my street cred.

Played pro hoops in Portugal. My kids will tell their kids "grandpa played professional basketball". I will leave out the part about playing on courts where the ball didn't bounce back to you, surrounded by chicken wire for $500 a month and free fish.
